Our lions were hungry! After the long and exhausting qualifying and play-off matches, the time had finally come. This weekend on September 26, 2020 at the Kinepolis Kirchberg, our League of Legends BOTRL E-Sports team reached the finals to compete against Outplay E-Sports. In the run-up, the team of Outplay E-Sports around their captain "Jinsch" (Chen Xiao-Zhou) has emerged as the clear favorite. This opinion has also been confirmed by a survey, where the odds of winning were 70 to 30 in favor of Outplay E-Sports. Our team was able to win the first round without any major difficulties and they had thus secured themselves a good start to the match. After a short break, the second round continued. At the beginning of the second round, Outplay E-Sports managed to gain a small advantage over the lions, but this advantage was not meant to last long and our lions were able to correct this deficit and thus secured victory in the second round. With an advantage of 2 to 0 our team was visibly relieved and they could go into the second break with a good feeling. This break was much longer, which our team used to consult intensively with which strategy they wanted to go into the last match. The third round was very exciting and full of tension. Outplay got off to a very good start and we could already assume that they would win the first point in this round. However, our team was also able to fend off this attack and so our lions could win this decisive round. In the end, our team was able to hold their own against Outplay E-Sports with an amazing but deserved 3 to 0 and is now the first winner of the POST E-Sports League!
