Nominations for the 2020 Game Awards were announced on November 18, 2020. Several choices were made in consideration with any game that was released on or before November 20 of that year. The nominees were chosen by a jury made out of members from more than 95 media outlets around the world.The winners are determined between the professionals and competent jury and also by the votes of the public, which was made via the official site and on the social media platforms. There were nevertheless two exceptions in which votes were fully nominated and voted by the public and in which are the most anticipated game prizes and the voices of the players. In this ceremony, a new “Innovation in Accessibility” award was also added for games with notable accessibility options.

Unsurprisingly, the big winner of this year 2020 is The Last of Us Part II. It received seven awards including Game of the Year.

This is a record in the history of the Game Awards.Other video games have also been mentioned, like Ghost of Tsushima, Among Us, Final Fantasy VII, Fall Guys and Hades.

At this Game Awards ceremony, it was also an opportunity to announce new features and to see trailers for future video games such as ARK 2 (with Vin Diesel), a new Mass Effect, Dragon Age under construction, Evil Dead the game (Groovy), The Callisto Protocol, Perfect Dark, the character Sephiroth (FF VII) who will appear in Super Smash Brothers, etc.

The Game Awards 2020 officially ended with some nice surprises.

We are looking forward to the year 2021 which will mark the debut of games on the next-gen Playstation 5 and Xbox SeriesX / S consoles.
